Birthday Preparation

There is a ton of preparation that goes on before a big event such as Liam's second birthday party! The theme is carefully picked months in advance and the weeks leading up to the big day are well, crazy! I take all the help I can get, even if it is from a toddler!

Okay, so seriously... I try to involve Liam in everything that I can. Whether it is stirring the bowl at dinner or in this case glittering wheels for his train boxes, I try to make him feel a part of it. Sometimes it takes twice the amount of time and usually half the batter ends up on the counter, but what's a little mess and a little time when you are having fun?

This evening we even solicited the help of the Domann's! As a treat for helping, we shared some of our spectacular SUPER sparklers. Nothing was caught on fire... not even baby Domann #2 despite their efforts.
