Training Room 7

Last night Bill and I drove to Cypress to celebrate Cynthia Griffing's 40th birthday. They had fajitas and fun was had by all. Bill caught up with his Corsicana football coaches, and they went over old high school plays. These guys had a blast! When Cynthia made her birthday speech, she mentioned that she was writing her book and that 3 of the gentlemen there would be featured in "The 7 people I met in the Training Room." Bill will be chapter 4. It is truly amazing to me that someone feels as though you had such an impact on them to honor you in their book. I cannot wait to read it!

Conehead!

After weeks of doctor visits and trips to A&M, we finally got to bring our little dog home from surgery. Our poor little guy had been through the ringer! MRI, Spinal tap, x-rays, middle ear removal, etc. were just  a few of the things that Tucker had to go through. Preliminary diagnosis was a staff infection that deformed his middle ear bone from the pressure and formed a large mass. We will be able to totally rule out tumor once the biopsy results are in. He still has his head tilt, but we are optimistic that it will improve over the next couple of weeks. He will be on meds for another 6 weeks and this horrible cone that he hates until Friday, but boy are we glad to have him back. If Bill or I leave the room for a second he whimpers. Poor little guy. He is also on a chicken diet... lets just hope we can get him to eat his real food when it comes time! It is so wonderful to have him home with us!

Garage Sale!

Saturday we finally had our garage sale with the Kerrs and the Smiths. The pros showed up at around 6AM and we sent off the last bits of the sale to goodwill around 3:30PM. It was a really long day, but I think worth it! Now, we just might have room for the little one! Our sweet neighbors had a lemonade stand in front. They were so cute! The proceeds even went to charity. Just precious!

11 1/2 weeks!

Friday we had a sonogram to test for down syndrome. Looks wonderful so far! It was so amazing to see the baby's hands and feet. It all still seems so unreal! It was really great to have something to look forward to as we were waiting on the results from Tucker's ear surgery!

Happy Birthday Alisa!

Today we celebrated Alisa's 26th birthday with a brunch at Farragos. I wish I could have enjoyed the bottomless mimosas, but it was a great time none the less! Afterwards we headed over to Komoto for more catching up! Happy Birthday to the bride-to-be!

The Big Reveal!

When Bill and I found out that we were expecting, we thought that it would only be appropriate to reveal the wonderful news to our parents by way of photography! Their reactions were priceless! It was perfect to be able to tell our parents on Father's Day... Bruce wanted a digital photo frame for his office, so Bill and I loaded several of our favorite photos and had the final photo be one of the positive pregnancy test. I think we definitely caught them by surprise:

By the time we were able to reveal the surprise to my parents, we were headed to San Antonio for my dad's birthday, Father's Day, and my brother's graduation. We did not want to take away from their big day, but we thought it would be great since they would not expect it and since everyone was in the same place. We had the first sonogram picture by then and we had a silver photo frame engraved with Happy "Grand" Father's Day! Again, their shock was priceless!

Since our little travel bug was all over the place we had to wait a little while to nail her down in one spot to reveal the great news. I think she was super excited as well. We are crossing our fingers for Maggie to move to Houston!

Baby Celebration!

Last night some of our wonderful friends all got together to celebrate our exciting news at Ruggles Bistro. Even though it was pretty hot outside, we had a really great time! We are truly blessed to have such great friends! All the little lovey blankets, tiny clothes, and thoughtful gifts made this all seem so much more real... ahhh!

Here is a picture of all the girls (should have taken a guy pic!)

And Baby Makes 3!

Well, the cat is out of the bag! The grands and great-grands couldn't stand it any longer... smile! I thought I would post our little ones first baby picture to confirm the rumors. Wink! Bill and I cannot wait to see what is in store for us in the next months. So far, I have been feeling wonderful other than being a little tired. We know that this baby is going to be such a blessing and we are excited beyond words! Even though this picture was taken at 6 weeks, we are now around 9 weeks. We will be expecting our little Robinson February 11. For those of you crazy about numbers that is 2 elevens which is my birthday 11/11! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers for a happy, healthy baby! We will keep everyone updated on progress. There is nothing more amazing than seeing that little heartbeat for the first time...

Celebrating the 4th!

What a great 4th of July! We started out the morning watching our Ashford Community Parade and watching all the cute little neighbor kiddos on their bikes! There was a BBQ, Snow cones, swimming and games afterwards, but man was it hot, hot, hot!

Then, we spent the afternoon and the McKnight's apartment swimming with the Kerr Family! Little Noah was super cute in the water!
That evening we all loaded up and headed for Alisa and Ladd's apartment at Sabine Street Lofts for a slider dinner and fireworks on the rooftop! They had perfect seats and the fireworks were directly above our heads!
