4 Wonderful Years...

On June 25th, 2009, Bill and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. I cannot believe how quickly the time flies by. This year, Bill planned an amazing trip! We traveled to Miami, FL and then drove 15 minutes to our resort at the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne! The Ritz truly knows how to treat you like royalty. Bill's romantic surprises? Rose pedal turn down, chocolate covered strawberries, private cabana on the beach, candles and roses at dinner, and spa treatments... such an amazing guy! I am truly blessed to be married to my best friend and soul mate!
Welcome to Paradise!

Beautifully 90!

Tonight we celebrated Bill's grandmother, Margaret Couch's 90th birthday at the Houston Country Club... I can only hope to look this good at 90! Ellen came in for the occasion and the 4 of us had a lovely dinner before Bill and I rushed home to pack for our Florida trip for our 4 year anniversary! Ellen agreed to watch our little man, Tucker for the weekend... cannot thank her enough!
Note to chef... there should be an age limit on trick candles!

Future Mr. & Mrs. Ladd Williams!

Alisa and Ladd are engaged!!! Last night we went to Pronto to celebrate the newly engaged couple. It was really great to see everyone. Amelia and Jeremy had just gotten back from thier honeymoon and little Noah has already grown so much... I cannot believe how fast time flies when you are having fun!
We are so excited for Alisa and Ladd and look forward to their wedding. Alisa is going to make one beautiful bride!

a Dog, a Graduate and a Birthday!

What a jam packed weekend! Tucker, our sweet little pug, had to be taken to Texas A&M to be seen for what we believe is a severe inner ear infection. The poor little guy has vertigo and appears as though he is drunk. We are hopeful that a week of antibiotics should do the trick, but if not... we will have to undergo the expensive MRI.
After 6 1/2 hours at the vet, Bill picked me up and we drove to San Antonio to celebrate Steven's (my brother) college graduation and my father's birthday and Father's Day. We had a great time with the family! Nothing like BBQ and a nice dip in the pool!

Happy Birthday Sue Ellen!

Monday we celebrated Sue Ellen's 26th birthday at La Vista! I had never noticed this place even though I had been in that shopping center a million times to get my nails done... what a wonderful surprise! It was really great to see the girls and catch up as our schedules have been pretty crazy lately! Cheers to another great year Sue Ellen!

Caroline & Fred's Wedding Shower

Saturday night Bill and I attended a wedding shower for Caroline Harper and Fred Knapp. It was really great to catch up with a few blasts from the past! Caroline was a beautiful bride-to-be and I know that their wedding will be just as lovely! Congrats to the happy couple!
Bill and Neal found themselves re-living the high school football days... How do you still remember play-by-plays?
I believe that we might have another picture like this from the lifeguards at the Corsicana Country Club! (Ellen, Candace, me, Leslie)

Super Trivia!

Last Friday night we went to see The Taking of Pelham 123 with Alisa and Ladd. The movie was a little predictable, but all in all a good show. Afterwards, Ladd suggested a few games at Dave and Busters... the 4 of us took over the 6 person Super Trivia game for at least an hour or two! Who knew Ladd knew so much useless information! The couple next to us were getting quite irritated that Ladd kept getting the bonus 372 tickets!!!

Bouffant!

What a great "bouffant" weekend, as Josh Blue would say! Bruce and Ellen came and stayed the weekend with us and we had a wonderful time! There is just not enough time in the weekend to do everything! We were excited to take them to some of our local places like Hungary's and the bar next door, as well as, George's Pasteria (one of our favs)! Saturday we had lunch with Gardner Parker at PF Chang's where we witnessed a true Longhorn camper eat from a metal tin and then proceed to wash his own dish! The guy at the bar asked me if Bruce had not been able to pay the bill... haha! It was a great lunch and super fun - it helps when cakebread is on the menu!
Saturday night we had tickets to the Houston Improv to see Josh Blue who was a winner on Last Comic Standing. He had us all in stitches! (With the new equipment in my mouth, this was almost literally!) I promise i was having a wonderful time in these shots, but I haven't quite figured out how to smile with this bar in my mouth! I will get it down!

Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy McKnight!

Friday, Bill and I turned our thumbs into guns and headed for Lubbock for Amelia and Jeremy's wedding! Everyone kept saying how much Lubbock had changed from the last time they were there... aside from becoming wet, I seemed to still see only flat land - wink! We tossed a few tortillas and headed to the stadium club to begin the celebration at their rehearsal dinner! Afterwards, everyone went to Cafe J's for a nightcap and then to the hotel.
Wedding day began with a margarita at Chimey's which I have been told is a local favorite... two thumbs up! The wedding ceremony was at the Methodist church and Amelia was such a stunning bride... everything was absolutely beautiful! We headed to the country club for the reception where we danced the night away with the band. Congrats to Amelia and Jeremy! We are so excited for you both and honored to have been included in your big day!
